Guideline and Tips of Medical Airline Escort

Abstract

|
International aeromedical escort is expanding according to increasing of medical tourism in worldwide. The keys of successful aeromedical escort are planning for and responding to any deterioration by aerospace environment. A total 5 patients were analyzed in the aspect of medical airline escort to establish the guideline and tips of aeromedical evacuation services for non-urgent scheduled commercial airline medical escort. The specific guideline and tips were as follows; 1. There can be some conflicts among medical staffs due to the difference of aerospace physiological insight. 2. Escort in airport terminal: airside or landside. 3. 10 Tips for safety and contingency. 4. The cost is included not only medical services but also non-medical. 5. Fitness to fly should be confirm by the doctor who has treated the patient. A safe medical escort can be provided by training to medical staffs and whom it may concern, sharing experience, and studying cases.
